Resident Services Philosophy

Assuring the quality and integrity of our operations includes a commitment to the well being of our residents. This philosophy is embodied in our corporate credo and is demonstrated through the variety of programs and services available to our residents.

Corporate staff, including a full-time Resident Services Coordinator and graduate social work interns, are responsible for identifying the needs of each community, creating and linking appropriate programs and services to respond to needs, and promoting resident participation in community affairs.

Our residential communities, located throughout Southern California, include family properties and facilities dedicated to the elderly and mobility impaired. Each property has on-site management staff which serves a diversity of people of various ages, ethnicities, nationalities and backgrounds. Such diversity enriches our communities and the lives of the individuals residing in them. We strive to maximize this opportunity for everyone.
The following are some of the social, recreational, educational, vocational and fitness programs and services, geared toward specific age groups, which we have implemented onsite:

Children - Redwood Village Children's Center, Head Start, after-school play groups, storytime, crafts and imaginary nights, Project Kid Care, ballet, karate, boys and girls scouts, and summer camp scholarships.

Teens - Teen social club, community service activities, fund raisers (i.e. car wash, pancake breakfast), field trips, movie night, sports events, talent show, summer youth employment opportunities, leadership training, games and crafts.

Adults and Seniors - Scholarship programs, exercise classes, ESL and citizenship classes, baby-sitting referrals, senior citizens' coffee hour, bingo, special topic speakers, career counseling and employment referrals, and bible study.

Community-wide Events - Numerous holiday and special event parties, dances, pot luck dinners, outdoor recreational and athletic events, coffee house with musical entertainment, ice cream socials, Bar-B-Ques, yard sales, and community discussion and planning meetings.

We believe that the goodwill generated by all of these efforts and programs is of paramount importance in demonstrating our care and concern for our residents and for our properties. The results and rewards of establishing mutual respect and support by and among those we serve are invaluable.
